The weather yesterday, March 12, 2014 was very nice. Sunny, very small amount of wind and high was around 62F. The plants are growing, flowers are coming out, birds are singing and building nests, the bumble bees are zooming around. I finally caught up on my sewing for customers so I took the afternoon for myself and went riding. My goal was to stay out for 4 hours or go until something hurt and then turn back, go on small roads and try some that I haven't done or only did once. I think I got all those goals done. The Vogel Park isn't open until the end of March. I did take the path down from there to the pond lookout and saw they had cut down 4 of the really large trees around it. I guess one blew down so they took the others because they feared they would fall on the lookout hut. Unfortunately just north of the town of Heddesheim there is a new huge construction project going on, probably apartment buildings, so part of one of the best routes up to Waidsee is destroyed. But a highlight of my day was that I saw my first fox! That was really neat. Couldn't get a good picture tho, he saw me and ran into the thicket.
