Lake Park
We have a very nice area to live in here.  There are two lakes behind our apartment building with pathways for bikes and/or pedestrians.   This is autumn with leaves changing and nice weather.  I enjoy walking all along here looking at the many birds and people and dogs.  This afternoon I met up with my neighbors who don't speak any English but we tried to communicate.  They are teaching me about the local plants animals and words in German.

Our apartment building is over there.

Our Apartment is on the 11th floor of the center peach colored building, on the corner closest to me taking this photo.
Don't know the name of this one.
There are several kinds that I dont' know the name of.
I see a lot of these but don't know the name of them.

kanadische Gänse
Canadian Geese

Geese
There are a ton of Mallard ducks here.  They are all cute and friendly.  I guess Mallards are all over the world.
Typical female Mallard

An unusual color and pattern for a female Mallard.  I really like her because she is unique.

Another typical color and pattern for the female Mallard.

Typical coloring for the male Mallard.  I like the look of the fall leaves in the water.  They are the same color as this guys feet.

Pheasant
Fasan
More photos of a Pheasant, taken later, April 12th 2013.  Pheasants do not like to have their photos taken so they run when they see me and it is really hard to get a good picture.

Pheasant flying above me.

Pheasant running away from me, typical behavior for them.

There are some young swans that have not turned completely white yet.

The path from the apartment to the Lakes

Botho, our neighbor shows me the red tree (a maple?)  and the yellow tree (Kinko tree)
Same two trees only the next day when the sun wasn't so low in the sky
Here is a photo on Nov. 22 of the same trees, now without leaves.
