Mannheim Fair 

Friday night we went to the city Fair with some of Steve's office mates.  Their Fair is a lot like the part of the Fair we have where there are rides and vendors for food and trinkets.  They have this Fair twice a year.  The junk food they have is just a little different than what we find in the U.S.  We found a lot of options for wurst (like bratwurst and other flavors).  The other popular things are beer & wine, flavored nuts of all kinds, chocolate covered fruit, pretzels, salt water taffy, hard candies, a really delicious potato pancake with sauce options.  The night was chilly but it had stopped raining.  We didn't see anyone ride the Wasser - water ride.  A few guys went on the roller coaster and we all did a few turns and bumps in the bumper cars.
